He completed his tour just as the war ended. This book brings to you not only his experiences in the Royal Canadian Air Force, but also those of three other surviving RCAF veterans - aircrew officers who, separately, completed operational tours. One was a Halifax bomber pilot, the second a Lancaster pathfinder navigator and the third was a Halifax rear gunner. And files of Canadian casualties were obtained from National Archives of Canada. Together, these were invaluable to finding out How It Really Was.
